Which CAD platform should I learn automation for first?
The one your work uses — the API skills carry over. SolidWorks and NX have the most courses here; CATIA and AutoCAD follow the same path: design basics, then the platform's API. Each platform card above leads to its own course path.
Do I need programming experience for a CAD automation course?
No. The automation courses start from programming foundations written for CAD engineers and build up to C# programs; you need the design basics of your platform, which the design courses cover.
VBA or C#: which language do the courses use?
Both, depending on the platform: VBA macros are the quickest way to automate inside the CAD application, C# is what standalone add-ins and batch tools are written in. The flagship courses start with macros and move to C#.
Are the courses live or recorded?
Both, course by course: Recorded + trainer, Live batch. Recorded courses include trainer support and a 1-on-1 doubt-clearing session. Each course card says which it is.
How long is a CAD automation course?
The automation courses run from 0.5 to 56 hours of training each across 4 platforms; recorded courses are self-paced with access to every recording.
